Pink Panthers

The SAS Land Rover, the Pink Panther, is one of the most iconic military vehicles. They are now a collector’s item. Prices for these vehicles go as high as $90,000.
Their distinct hot pink camouflage gives them the name.

Origin

The pink panther concept started with the Jeeps used by the SAS and LRDG in North Africa during WW II.
The Series IIA Pinkies were first deployed in 1969 and were demobilized in the 1980’s.
They were deployed in places such as Egypt, Oman, Belize, and Kenya.
Some vehicles were camoflaged green for use in Europe

Equipment

The IIA pinkies have 100 gallon fuel tanks,
differential guards, and a spare tire in front of the radiator.
The vehicles were also equipped with rifle boxes,
two GPMGs, a Carl Gustav anti-tank weapon, spotlights, and smoke launchers.
